Late Registration is only available if space allows and is not guaranteed.

Practice day/time requests can usually be honored if made during the registration process, but requests made after teams are made/balanced and uniforms are ordered can't be considered.

U5- U12 Practices/Games

Spring- Practices start last week of March

Games start the 2nd weekend of April

Games start the last weekend of August

 

Practices typically are at 530pm or 630pm

U5- 1 practice/scrimmage per week

U6, U7, U8, U10 and U12- 2 practices per week and games on Saturdays and occasionally weekday evenings

U6-U12 typically has 7 games depending on weather

 

All registration must be completed online. Most families choose to pay online. There is a small service fee that is added to paying online. There is an option to pay by check. This option is primarily used by another sport and due to the volume of children in Rec Soccer and how our registration process operates, online vs in person, we do not recommend it. Checks must be hand delivered and accepted by our administrative assistant or deposited in our mailbox on our office during business hours found on the main GCKA website within 1 week of registering or that registration will be deleted. Our recommendation is to pay online. In the event that a refund is asked for, the process of refunding an online payment is much easier and more timely than when a family pays by check. We do offer a handful of hardship discounts based on our seasonal budget.

 

Head coaches are always needed for Rec Soccer and we could not run this program without them. We are currently pleased to offer a 50 percent discount per child that you are a head coach for. Discounts are given after the coach submits to a background check and completes a couple online coaching assignments. Please consider registering to coach when you register your child.

Uniforms

Uniforms are ordered each season. Please ensure you request the proper size for your child. Requests for a different size after the registration process is not assured. Children will be provided with socks, shorts and a jersey. In the event the uniform vendor is out of stock in the size/color requested, a size larger will be sent by the uniform vendor.

 

NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER PRACTICES START. REFUNDS AFTER REGISTRATION ENDS BUT BEFORE PRACTICES START WILL BE PRO-RATED STARTING AT 50 PERCENT. BY REGISTERING YOUR CHILD, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THIS STATEMENT.

 

MSSA/HSSA Information

GCKA offers Rec players in middle school (6th-8th grade) the option to play on a team that plays in the Middle School Soccer Association (MSSA). Players in high school (9th-12th grade) play in the High School Soccer Association (HSSA).

 

MSSA and HSSA are recreational leagues that represent most suburbs in Central Ohio. Teams will have some travel to surrounding central Ohio communities for away games. Home games are played at Murfin Fields. MSSA and HSSA teams play one or two games per week, one on a weeknight and one on the weekend. Practices are typically held throughout the week.

Spring season runs from early March to late May.

Fall season runs from mid July to mid October.
